Tour Description
Baking has a special place in our cuisine. One of the most popular local foods – flat bread is the bakery product. While it is super yummy to simply enjoy bread with sour cream, it is even more thrilling to bake it yourself!
Join my Baking Osh tour and get to know the best of baking traditions of Osh. The tour takes place on Osh’s famous “Bakers’ Street”. You will observe how “tandyr”, a traditional Central Asian oven, is made of clay and how it is exploited by bakers. Our lovely baker will guide you through all his techniques and secrets. You will personally put your hands in the dough, kneading and shaping the bread. You can also challenge yourself to send your bread to the burning oven! And finally, as you enjoy your meal, your English-speaking guide will tell you the local stories and beliefs and gladly share your culinary master-pieces.
