Itinerary
Meeting at the airport and straight to action!
Driving to Chon-Kemin valley and embracing the magnificence of Kyrgyz nature. A short hike or horseback riding to stretch out after a long flight and driving. Dinner and overnight at the guesthouse.
Charging your body and spirit with a soulful homemade breakfast and heading towards the pearl of Kyrgyzstan: Lake Issykul.
– Behold the beauty of diverse Kyrgyz nature while driving along the sea-like alpine lake.
– Witness how pastures and lush green hillsides metamorphose to desert landscapes.
– Be aware of the lake tempting your urge to swim. Well, we don’t mind letting you enjoy the water.
– Your day culminates with cultural experiences as you will join the eagle show and the making of a traditional Kyrgyz yurt (mobile housing of nomads)
– Only after this, we will let you enjoy your dinner and rest at the yurt camp/guesthouse
Have your breakfast as we are heading to Karakol. Along the way, we will encounter landscapes from another planet. The Skazka (Fairy tale) Canyon: a stunning sandstone formation that will amaze your eyes with its resemblance to the planet of Mars. After Skazka Canyon, you will see other red rock formations in Jeti Oguz (Seven Bulls) and Broken Heart, and hear the mysterious local legends about their origins.
Finally, you will arrive in Karakol: one of the most vibrant cities in Kyrgyzstan. Here, you will dive into the melting pot of cultures and visit top sights such as the Dungan Mosque, the Orthodox Church, and the Karakol Bazaar. The Dungan family atmosphere will decorate your dinner and introduce you to the cuisine and culture of a unique community in Kyrgyzstan.
After breakfast, we are heading back to Bishkek from Karakol via the north shore of Issyk-Kul. On the way back, you will have a detour to the open-air petroglyph museum in Cholpon-Ata and get a glimpse of Islamic Medieval Islamic Architecture in the form of Burana Tower.
By the evening, you are in Bishkek again to enjoy your dinner in a restaurant and your well-deserved rest in a hotel.
You might be a bit sad as your visit to Kyrgyzstan ended. But hopefully, this sadness will motivate you to plan your next visit to Kyrgyzstan immediately. Maybe for more days. And possibly to see other regions.
Transfer to the airport and farewells until next time.
