Baking has a special place in our cuisine. One of the most popular local foods, flat bread, is a bakery product. While it is super yummy to enjoy bread with sour cream simply, it is even more thrilling to bake it yourself!
Join my Baking Osh tour to discover the best of Osh’s baking traditions. The tour takes place on Osh’s famous “Bakers’ Street”. You will observe how “tandyr”, a traditional Central Asian oven, is made of clay and used by bakers. Our lovely baker will guide you through all his techniques and secrets. You will personally put your hands in the dough, kneading and shaping the bread. You can also challenge yourself to send your bread to the burning oven! And finally, as you enjoy your meal, your English-speaking guide will share local stories and beliefs and gladly sample your culinary masterpieces.
